Evie is the new lead of Blood Rain. Across the reveal coverage she is described as a member of a special forces unit pursuing a terrorist organization operating inside a city. She is a new character, not a returning one — though the name echoes Eve on purpose.

Director Kim Hyung-tae has said the team wants Evie to be someone players "genuinely connect with," not just a visual successor — citing lessons learned from Shift Up's mobile hit Goddess of Victory: NIKKE.

Evie's defining trait is close-quarters gauntlet combat. Where Eve relied on her sword Blood Edge, Evie leads with her fists. Kim explained that starting Evie with a sword would have made it hard to establish her own identity, so brawling became her core.

The studio has confirmed that parrying and dodging remain the foundation of combat, so the series' read-and-react rhythm carries over even as the weapon changes.

Evie's gauntlets dynamically transform into other weapons during a fight. The reveal trailer ends with her wielding what looks like a reverse-grip blade, and Shift Up has indicated that swords and additional weapons still appear — unlocking later and tied to specific story moments.
